Cape Town June 2019 results and forward book

June started slow but gained momentum and finished ahead of expectations. June started with 14% occupancy in the beginning of April but gained a total of 29% occupancy points to end at 43%. The ARR however didn’t match occupancies’ growth in that it started on R1016 and only gained R54 in 3 months’ time to end on R1070. Again pickup was last minute, reactions was slow as no single event tied the demand rise which was also very area related. Many of the city centre hotels had dead spots which is unusual.
